How is Profit Spear different from a bookkeeper or tax accountant?
Bookkeepers and tax accountants are essential for recording transactions and maintaining compliance. Profit Spear goes further by helping you use the numbers to run the business through forecasting, profitability analysis, KPI reporting, capital planning, and strategic decision support.
Can you work with our current accounting software and team?
Yes. Profit Spear can work within systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, NetSuite, Wave, FreshBooks, Zoho, Shopify, and related platforms. We can also coordinate with your existing bookkeeper, CPA, controller, or internal staff.
How much do your services cost?
Pricing depends on the complexity of the business and the support required. Your engagement may include bookkeeping, fractional CFO advisory, project finance, focused analysis, or a tailored combination. We discuss scope and pricing during the free consultation.
Are we locked into a long-term contract?
No. Profit Spear wants clients to continue because the relationship is producing value, not because they are locked into a lengthy agreement. Ongoing engagements can generally be ended with 30 days’ notice.
How much of my time will this require?
After onboarding, most ongoing clients participate in a focused recurring meeting while Profit Spear handles the financial preparation, analysis, reporting, and follow-up. The objective is to improve control and visibility without adding hours of work to your week.
Is our financial information secure?
Profit Spear works within controlled-access financial systems and does not require transactional authority over client bank or credit-card accounts. Only the client or an authorized designee should approve and execute transactions. NDAs can also be signed when appropriate.
What size and type of business do you work with?
Profit Spear primarily serves startups and small to midsized businesses led by founders, owners, and executive teams. Experience includes retail, services, manufacturing, construction, energy, transportation, consumer products, ecommerce, real estate, and capital-intensive projects.
What happens during the free consultation?
It is a no-pressure, 30-minute conversation about your business, financial setup, current challenges, and goals. We discuss whether Profit Spear is a good fit and identify the most practical next step.
